Roberts Knight Selection Ltd is an independent, privately owned company that recruits for staff across all functions and levels of Private and Public Sector organisations for permanent, interim or temporary assignments.

 

Roberts Knight Ltd is also an independent, privately owned company that provides recruitment and employment services for large or small scale projects. We can supply of an agreed level of work hours per week or over a defined period and manage worker absence and employee relations issues.

 

Case Study examples

Within 2006 we supplied 15 mechanical and electrical engineers for the maintenance department at New Look in Newcastle under Lyne.

 

We have supplied TNT at Swadlincote with 80 temps and have provided up to 200 workers over a 3 month period at Coventry Hospital. We have also supplied the new Call Centre for Tesco’s Direct in Crewe.

 

In 2003, we were asked by TNT Archive Services Ltd to be the sole supplier to the largest Archiving project ever awarded in the UK. The project was to archive a substantial quantity of secret and sensitive documents belonging to the Ministry of Defence in the Hayes area.

 

Our role was to supply up to 260 temporary workers (at peak capacity) guaranteeing the level of hours to maintain work output. Each worker had to be tested, referenced back to 5 years with no gaps in their history and then Security Cleared in order to work without supervision. Our service was tailored around the client’s requirements and delivered to a service level agreement. All targets were met and the project finished early.

 

We were also engaged to recruit 70 staff in Innsworth, Gloucester for a period of 8 months for the same client

 

Recruitment Methods

Roberts Knight uses a blank sheet of paper approach to the service that we provide to our clients. We don’t tell you what we can do, we ask you what you would like and tailor our service to your needs and do this with a sense of urgency.

 

We recruit using competency based interview techniques which seek to identify the extent to which the candidate has used their skills within their current or previous job. The information gathered is then used as a predictor of performance in the proposed job.

 

Equally important is the cultural fit into your organisation and we look for the matching of expectations between the candidate and the demands of the unwritten rules of the job.

 

We provide each temporary candidate with a mini induction to your organisation which identifies your policies on the use of mobile phones, internet, smoking, security, absence and general behaviour etc.

 

Where you choose to employ a candidate on a temp to perm basis, no placement fee will be charged from the 14th week if you make them permanent (following 13 weeks as a temp with us).

 

Advert Response Handling

We can work with you as business partners to place an advertisement and manage the response. This includes the sending out of your application packs, receiving the applications, long listing, short listing, testing, interviewing, reference checking and conducting a first interview. You can pick or mix any of the above.

 

            Payroll Bureau Service

We are able to provide a comprehensive payroll bureau service according to your requirements. You can either supply the staff to us or we can supply the staff and pay them on your behalf, under your terms.
